Abstract: The prevalence of oral diseases is high in the elderly population，and some of these diseases require outpatient oral surgery. However，due to age-related physiological changes，chronic diseases，polypharmacy and other factors，the incidence of postoperative complications or adverse reactions is relatively high. At present，there are various types of common complications or adverse reactions in elderly patients undergoing outpatient oral surgery，among which bleeding，infection and pain are more frequent，which directly affect the prognosis and treatment comfort of patients. Combining advanced techniques with humanistic care and psychological relief，comfortable treatment is an important approach to improving the diagnosis and treatment experience and reduce adverse events in elderly patients. Based on the national status of population aging，previous literature and clinical experience，this paper analyzes and discusses the influencing factors of three major common complications or adverse reactions（bleeding，infection and pain）from three aspects：patient-related factors，surgery-related factors，as well as anesthesia and perioperative management factors，and explores the application value of comfortable treatment in outpatient oral surgery for elderly patients.
