    Abstract ( )   PDF (839KB) ( )

Abstract:Primary fallopian tube carcinoma (PFTC) is a lethal gynecologic malignancy with low incidence rate, low diagnostic accordance rate.In order to improve the diagnostic accordance rate and provide diagnostic evidence for early detection and timely treatment,we summarized the molecular marker and imaging characteristics of PFTC and discussed the application value.

The specification and principal of optimal cytoreductive surgery for primary fallopian tube carcinoma
    WANG Xin-yan, WANG Min
    2014, 30(3): 167-170.
    Abstract ( )   PDF (847KB) ( )

Abstract:Primary fallopian tube carcinoma (PFTC) is an uncommon tumor. Currently, treatments for PFTC are similar to those used in epithelial ovarian carcinoma. Optimal cytoreductive surgery plays an important role in improving progression-free (PFS) and overall survival (OS) times. The performance of radical cytoreductive procedures, the status of residual disease and the performance of lymphadenectomy were independent predictor of improved PFS and OS times. 

The issue of recurrent fallopian tube cancer treatment
    WANG Ze-hua,XU Lin-juan
    2014, 30(3): 170-171.
    Abstract ( )   PDF (822KB) ( )

Abstract:Fallopian tube cancer is rare, with high malignant, easy to relapse, difficult in preoperative diagnosis and postoperative monitoring. The incidence and recurrence is rising in recent years. In addition, the treatment of recurrent fallopian tube cancer is still a major problem. So it is necessary to strengthen the attention of this disease, while exploring new, effective treatment methods to improve prognosis is essential.

The effect of tubal infection factors and value of prophylactic salpingectomy on the carcinogenesis of fallopian tube cancer
    WANG Chen,XUE Feng-xia.
    2014, 30(3): 172-176.
    Abstract ( )   PDF (858KB) ( )

Abstract:Clinical pathology data indicated that fallopian tube infection factors may be related with the fallopian tube carcinoma and ovarian cancer, but there are not exact conclusion. Recent years, due to the theory of ovarian cancer originating from fallopian tubes, much more attention are paid to the value of prophylactic salpingectomy on the carcinogenesis of fallopian tube cancer/ovarian cancer. Current studies show that prophylactic salpingo-oophorectomy has effect on reducing the risk of ovarian cancer in BRCA1/2 gene mutation carriers, but whether this kind of treatment could reduce the risk of sporadic ovarian cancer or not, more researches need to be done. At the same time, evaluation is required to make on the value of salpingectomy reducing the risk of hereditary ovarian cancer and other abdominopelvic serous carcinoma. In addition, when application of prophylactic salpingectomy, doctors should carefully assess the comprehensive situation of patients in clinical practice, balance the benefits and risks of the operation and pursue the most benefits for patients.

Surgical implications of fallopian tube as the origin of ovarian cancer.
    WANG Deng-feng,ZHANG Guo-nan
    2014, 30(3): 176-179.
    Abstract ( )   PDF (848KB) ( )

Abstract:Recently, fallopian tube is regarded as the origin of serous ovarian cancer and peritoneal cancer. Thus, samples changes in surgical practice, e.g. Prophylactic bilateral salpingectomy instead of salpingo-oophorectomy, could reduce the incidence of ovarian cancer and peritoneal cancer, avoid morbidity caused by ovariectomy. 

Prognosis factors of primary fallopian tube carcinoma.
    YANG Ying-jie
    2014, 30(3): 179-181.
    Abstract ( )   PDF (835KB) ( )

Abstract:There are several key factors that affect the prognosis of primary fallopian tube carcinoma, including FIGO staging, surgery and residual tumor after initial surgery, lymph node metastasis and elevated pre-treatment CA125. Besides, the depth of invasion of the tubal wall and the presence of carcinoma in the fimbriated end even without invasion are also important prognostic indicators. In fact, optimally cytoreduced patients with PFTC treated with platinum and paclitaxel-based chemotherapy regimen would have a much higher possibility of survival.

    Primary sarcoma of fallopian tube.
    MU Tian, WANG Jian-liu.
    2014, 30(3): 181-183.
    Abstract ( )   PDF (835KB) ( )

Abstract:Sarcomas of the fallopian tube are exceedingly rare malignancies. They have high metastatic potential, frequent recurrences and poor prognosis. The common pathological types of the fallopian tube sarcomas include carcinosarcomas, leiomyosarcomas, rhabdomyosarcomas, liposarcomas, and synovial sarcomas. This article tries to elucidate this uncommon malignancy on the epidemiology, risk factors, diagnosis, therapeutic modalities and prognosis.

Reasons for misdiagnosis in primary fallopian tube carcinoma.
    DI Wen,JI Wen-ting
    2014, 30(3): 183-185.
    Abstract ( )   PDF (835KB) ( )

Abstract:Primary fallopian tube carcinoma is one of the most unusual malignant tumors of female reproductive system. As a result of its clinical manifestation has no obvious specificity, pelvic anatomical characteristics of the fallopian tubes, limited means of laboratory examination and the limited idea of the clinicians, there always be misdiagnosed. Attention to the symptoms of vaginal discharge, comprehensive analysis of laboratory examinations can improve the rate of preoperative diagnosis of fallopian tube carcinoma.
