Abstract:

Abstract: The cause of endometriosis may be cyclical bleeding within lesions,chronic peritoneal inflammation,nerve sprouting growth in lesions,and peripheral and central sensitization associated with hyperalgesia. Although complete surgical excision of endometriosis lesions is a prerequisite for the treatment of endometriosis pain,yet,the long-term treatment with drugs after operation is needed. Additionally,the selection of drugs against inflammation and hyperalgesia induced by sensitized peripheral and central nerves is the key to obtain the effective treatment for endometriosis pain.
