Abstract:

Periodontitis is an infection affecting the supporting tissue around the teeth. The advanced form of periodontitis not only influences the health and function of periodontal tissue，but also is correlated with some systemic diseases. Characterization of the diagnostic criteria of advanced periodontitis is of great importance in the epidemiological and clinical research，as well as clinical treatment. This paper briefed the advancement in the diagnosis of advanced periodontitis and definition of periodontitis progression.

摘要：

牙周炎是影响牙齿支持组织的一种感染性疾病，重度牙周炎严重影响牙周组织的健康和功能，并且和多种全身疾病密切相关。明确重度牙周炎的诊断标准对于流行病学和临床研究，以及临床治疗具有十分重要的意义。文章对重度牙周炎的诊断标准和牙周炎进展的判断标准做一简要介绍。
