Abstract: The development of periodontology education in China is uneven，and many grassroots dentists lack correct concepts and basic technical skills. According to the development status of domestic periodontology，the national continuing education program "Standardized Diagnosis and Treatment Technology of Periodontology" has been carefully designed by the Department of Periodontology，Peking University School and Hospital of Stomatology since 2011. During the past 10 years，more than 1000 trainees from more than 20 provinces and cities across the country have been trained，which has greatly promoted the development of various standardized periodontal diagnosis and treatment techniques by the majority of grassroots physicians in China，and obtained good social benefits. This paper summarizes and analyzes the curriculum design of this program，10 years of implementation experience and future prospects，aiming to provide reference for the promotion and implementation of standardized periodontal continuing education and training，and to promote the development of periodontal education in China.
