Abstract    Based on years of clinical and histopathological research on colorectal cancer，the Japanese Society for Cancer of the Colon and Rectum（JSCCR）published the Japanese Classification of Colorectal，Appendiceal and Anal Carcinoma（9th edition）in 2018，which was coordinated with the AJCC TNM classification（8th edition）.Referring to a large number of clinical research results，the Guidelines 2019 for the treatment of colorectal cancer has made a comprehensive revision in the fields of endoscopy，surgery and drug therapy for colorectal cancer.The guidelines prudently promote new treatment methods and treatment modes，which are not only in line with international standards，but also retain the characteristics of Japanese treatment.And the guidelines also implement the model of multidisciplinary team，and reflect the concept of standardized treatment and accurate treatment by comparing the difference in the treatment modes of eastern and western countries.
