Abstract    Nutrition support is an important part of the therapy for critical patients with intra-abdominal infections.How to perform optimal nutrition support is crucial to improve the success rate of treatment for critical patients with intra-abdominal infection.In general，proper energy and nutrient substrates and right timing and approach should be providedto maximize the benefits of nutrition support for critical patients with intra-abdominal infection according to the metabolic characteristics，gastrointestinal function and nutritional status.
