Abstract:

Evaluation of effect on breast conservative surgery in 62 cases with early breast cancer. Liu Yinhua,Li Shuangxi.Department of Surgery,Peking University First Hospital,Beijing 100034，China Abstract Objective To evaluate the effect of breast conservative surgery for early breast cancer. Methods From 1996 to 2004,breast conservative surgery was performed to 62 patients with early breast cancer.Clinical data were analyzed retrospectively. Results All operations were performed successfully,Mean operation time were 60 minutes,average blood loss was less than 30 ml.Mean hospitalization after operation was 7 days.Cosmetic results were satisfactory.The followup time were 1 year to 8 years (median,2years),no local recurrence,distant metastasis and mortality were observed,no radiation therapy complication occurred. Conclusion For the patients with earlystage breast cancer,the effects of breast conserving surgery were satisfactory either in the early time or in the long term.Applying to the indication strictly and the comprehensive treatment normatively insure achieving good results.
