Abstract    Hepatocellular carcinoma is a common malignant tumor in China. Surgical resection is one of the most effective treatment strategies. Accurate preoperative assessment is an important measure to ensure radical resection of the lesion and to ensure the safety of the operation. The preoperative evaluation includes the following three aspects：confirmation of diagnosis，staging and surgical indications；assessment of the general condition and surgical risk；evaluation of the tumor resectability and surgical planning.
