Abstract    Correct pathological diagnosis and appropriate molecular assay of GIST are of paramount importance for the clinical treatment and prediction of the prognosis. Both clinicians and pathologists should be familiar with the clinicopathological features and molecular phenotypes of GIST, as well as its mimics, to avoid misdiagnosis and mistherapy, benefiting the patients to the greatest extent.
