Abstract: With advancements in laparoscopic instruments, imaging devices and surgical concepts, laparoscopic hepatectomy has achieved technical maturity and widespread adoption. Procedural surgical operations facilitate the simplification and homogenization of the surgery, which not only meets the demands for promoting laparoscopic hepatectomy techniques, but also establishes the essential foundation for conducting multicenter, large-sample controlled studies. As a crucial surgical step in laparoscopic right side liver resection, the procedural mobilization of the right liver is beneficial for enhancing both safety and efficiency of the laparoscopic operations. In particular, the handling of the short hepatic veins, the exposure of the para-venous space of the inferior vena cava, and the retraction and rotation of the right lobe of the liver are all crucial steps that ensure the safety and efficiency of the laparoscopic right liver mobilization.
