Abstract    Geriatric surgery patients as a special group of surgical patients, their general situation is poor, accompanied by organ function degeneration and chronic basic diseases, the incidence of various postoperative complications is much higher than adult patients. The organ function assessment and optimization of geriatric surgery patients run through the whole perioperative period, includes assessment and summary of cardiovascular, pulmonary function, renal function, stroke, thromboembolism and nutritional status. The intervention and optimization of the patient's organ function are carried out by multidisciplinary pituitary team , so as to minimize the incidence of postoperative complications.
