Abstract:

Mastication is one basic physiological function of the stomatognathic system，and keeping the healthy function on the preferred chewing side（PCS）is one of the necessary condition for exerting masticatory function. This article reviews the occurrence and influencing factors of PCS，examination method as well as evaluation index of PCS，etc.

咀嚼是口颌系统的基本生理功能，优势咀嚼侧功能的健全是保证良好咀嚼功能发挥的必要条件之一。本文结合国内外学者的研究现状，对优势咀嚼侧的发生及影响因素、优势咀嚼侧的测定方法及评价指标等进行回顾和总结。
