Abstract: Low friction and low force are critical in achieving physical bone remodeling in orthodontic treatment. The emergence of self-ligation brackets made low force orthodontic correction possible. Until now all self-ligation brackets available in China market are imported and that leads to high price and relatively low acceptance. According to the characteristics of low friction and low force LF bracket were designed and obtained national patent. The principle of low force correction is well implemented in LF system though LF bracket is not a self-ligation bracket. Meanwhile it is indicated that the use of high quality NiTi wires is vital in low friction and low force correction.
