Abstract:

In recent years， due to its better performance than other root canal disinfection drug at killing microbe， relieving symptoms between two appointments， reducing the toxicity of periapical tissue， and inducing periapical tissue formation ，calcium hydroxide has become the main root canal disinfection drugs. In this paper， calcium hydroxide in the treatment of periapical disease was reviewed as a root canal disinfectant action， in order to guide the practical application.
