Abstract:

Abstract:The atrophic alveolar ridge presents challenges for dental implant placement. Ridge augmentation prior to implant placement is thereby routinely carried out to increase the volume of bone. In the maxillary anterior area,successful ridge augmentation is related not only to future implant survival but also to the esthetic outcome. This report describes the treatment for a partially edentulous patient with a bucco-lingual bony deficiency with titanium mesh and a combination of particulate allogeneic bone graft and recombinant human bone morphogenetic protein(rhBMP). Bone volume was increased and implants were placed 8 months after the ridge augmentation. The second stage surgery and temporary restoration were performed 4 months after the implant placement and the final prosthesis was cemented 4 months later. The implants have been followed for 2 years.

编者按:本刊特邀美国德克萨斯健康研究中心牙学院Bing-Yan Wang副教授介绍1例在上颌前牙牙槽骨严重缺损区实现骨增量的病例。在拔牙同期用异体骨和Bio-Mend延展膜进行引导骨再生术后未获得满意骨量的情况下,无法进行种植手术,术者用钛网结合异体骨移植材料和人骨形成蛋白在种植体植入前修复上前牙区部分牙缺失部位的牙槽骨缺损,最终获得成功。通过这种方法扩大了在上前牙牙槽骨严重骨缺损区种植的适应证,为患者提供了除自体骨移植以外的另一个选择。

中文摘要:萎缩的牙槽嵴对于种植牙而言是一个不利的因素,在植入种植体之前牙槽骨嵴增量手术能够使骨的体积增加。在上颌前牙区,牙槽嵴增量不仅有利于后期种植体的植入而且可以获得更好美学效果。本文详述用钛网结合异体骨移植和人骨形成蛋白治疗上前牙区部分牙缺失部位的颊舌向骨缺损。通过这种方法可获得一定的骨增量,8个月后植入种植体,在植入种植体后4个月行二期手术和临时修复,4个月后进行永久修复,追踪时间为2年。
