Abstract    The application of transverse abdominis plane (TAP) block technique in abdominal surgery has experienced a complicated and step-by-step development process，and now laparoscopic-assisted transversus abdominis plane block (Lap-TAP)，which is operated by surgeons，has been a new perioperative analgesia method in the world in recent years and has been gradually applied in clinical practice. Compared with the ultrasound-guided TAP block technique，LAP-TAP provides a significant effect of perioperative analgesia and it’s operated under laparoscopic direct vision of the lateral abdominal wall by the surgeon independently without anesthesiologist and ultrasound equipment. It is a safer，more effective，simpler and more time-saving perioperative analgesia method，which can be recommended as an alternative technique of ultrasound-guided TAP block to be widely applied to perioperative analgesia in various fields of minimally invasive abdominal surgery.
