Abstract:

Abstract： Objective To approach the application of fixed appliance combine with rigid internal fixation in the treatment of multiple mandibular fracture in reducing the incidence of complications of malocclusion and maxillofacial malformation. Methods 17 cases of multiple mandibular fractures， were repositioned dislocation with orthodontic fixed appliance and small titanium plate of rigid internal fixation， then fixed and tract intermaxillary after operation. Compared with 22 cases used rigid internal fixation and arch splint ligation fixed. Observe the complications and prognosis. Results Followed for three months， the occlusal function and chewing function of both experimental group and control group were well. There was no difference between the two groups. The oral hygiene of experimental group in good， the complications of malocclusion and maxillofacial malformation was less than the control group. Conclusion Fixed appliance combine with rigid internal fixation of multiple mandibular fractures for the same period， decrease the complications after internal fixation， not only fixed the fractures， also a solid fixed the dislocation and loose teeth. With more acceptable， it is a significant effect method， and should be promoted.
