Abstract: Soft and hard tissues augmentation is often used to improve local conditions for implant therapy，such as alveolar ridge preservation and free gingival graft，which may help to avoid complex augmentation process and reduce the difficulty of implant therapy. It is noteworthy that whether these simple and minimally invasive augmentation technologies can create favourable condition for implant therapy in patients receiving local radiotherapy. This article illustrated the whole process of atraumatical tooth extraction，alveolar ridge preservation and free gingival graft to improve the soft and hard tissues of implant site in a patient experiencing oral and maxillofacial local radiotherapy. Satisfactory effect was obtained after implant restoration. This case provided clinical experience for implant therapy and related soft and hard tissue augmentation surgery in patients who underwent local radiotherapy.
